Cate Morris Bio

Worship leader, singer, songwriter, and preacher and teacher Cate Morris has long lived a life of song. Born into a musical family, Cate began singing and touring at the age of five. At thirteen, she began leading worship at her home church in Boise, Idaho. “Once I discovered the presence of God in worship, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life in that place …”

Cate attended Christ for the Nations and studied worship and practical theology. She graduated in 1995 and began ministering in various mission fields around the world and in her hometown through preaching and music ministry. After marrying her husband Jamin, Cate moved to Alaska where she began leading worship and speaking for various churches and events around that state.

In 2015, Cate completed online courses through Ravi Zacharias International Ministries Academy in Apologetics, and a course on Islam. In 2016, she attended Reinhard Bonnke’s “School of Evangelism” in Orlando, Florida and completed that certificate course, and became inflamed again with a compelling desire to reach the lost.

Today, Cate teaches Apologetics at the Alaska Bible Institute, in Homer, Alaska, and leads worship for churches and conferences nationally and internationally. Her ministry to women, youth, and worship leaders bridges denominations, encouraging through song, testimony, preaching, and heartfelt worship.

Cate currently resides in Homer, Alaska with her husband, Jamin, and have raised four children — Bethany, Jaron, Chad, and Melanie. She has two albums she has released: “From Here” (c)2007, and “Red Sky” (c)2011.
